Alaçatı · kahvaltı evi
Breakfastthatneverends
Cheeses, olives, jams, eggs and warm simit, spread across the table all morning in an Alaçatı courtyard.
The spread
A table laid like tiles
Serpme Kahvaltı serves the sprawling Turkish breakfast that never ends: cheeses, olives, jams, eggs and simit spread across the table, plate by little plate, until the whole top disappears.
There is no first course and no last one. The tea keeps coming, the simit stays warm, and nobody at the table is in a hurry.

Tea culture
The çay never stops
Turkish breakfast runs on tea: small tulip glasses, dark and hot, refilled before you notice they are empty.
Ours brews on the stove all morning. Ask for it open or strong - the glass is bottomless either way.
